Patios, landscaping and garden renovations
Porcelain, ceramic and natural stone patios, steps, timber sleepers and the hard landscaping that turns a garden round.
Patios are laid the traditional outdoor way: dug out, a compacted sub-base, a full sand and cement bed, and laid to a fall so rainwater runs off rather than towards the house.
Beyond the patio we take on whole garden renovations and hard landscaping: steps, pool surrounds, raised beds in stone or timber sleepers, edging, artificial lawns and decking, so the garden works as one space.
Once the patio is laid, we can seal it as an optional extra. We use Lithofin or other premium sealants as a rule, to help keep the stone clean and protected.

Things people ask
What does a locked-in quotation mean?
The price on the quote is the price you pay. Once we have measured up and agreed the work, it does not creep up part way through the job.
Are you insured?
Yes. We hold public liability insurance, which covers the project, our work and the materials. We also invoice electronically, so there is a clear paper trail and no cash changing hands.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes. We are registered waste carriers, so soil, old paving and rubble leave with us and are disposed of properly.
Can you lay floors inside the house?
Yes. Indoor floors are laid on tile adhesive over a prepared subfloor rather than sand and cement: natural limestone and stone, porcelain, ceramic and engineered wood. We can also install electric underfloor heating mats, ready for your electrician to connect.
Do you sell granite setts?
Yes. Natural split grey granite setts, 200 x 100 x 50mm, by the 1 tonne pallet with free kerbside delivery, through our eBay listing. We can also lay them for you as a driveway or driveway apron.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in St Buryan near Penzance and work across west Cornwall: Penzance, St Just, St Ives, Hayle, Helston, Camborne, Redruth, Falmouth, Truro and the villages between.
Do you seal stone after laying it?
Yes, as an optional extra once a driveway or patio is finished, or as a job on its own. We use Lithofin or other premium sealants as a rule.
Can you match existing stonework?
Usually, yes. We source local granite and natural stone and match coursing, pointing and colour as closely as we can to what is already there.
